I am without any knowledge about French wines and still more about Burgundy wines. So I took the opportunity to participation with tasting organized by Intrecci (Famiglia Cotarella) in Castiglione. I participated in the second Masterclass give by Armando Castagno, who really knows everything about Burgundy wines and has written a book about it.
We tasted 3 Reds and 3 whites from the Cote de Beaune, which are in the picture gallery. Villlages, Premier Crus and Grand Crus wines. The Corton-Le Rognet Grand Cru 2016 – Bruno Clavelier among the reds and the Corton-Le Rognet Grand Cru 2016 – Bruno Clavelier among the whites belong surely to my strongest experiences in wine tasting, it is something different. We tasted the white wines after the red wines and this was correct for the enormous power of these white wines.
Burgundy wines are cheap if they cost 20 Euros retail. A Grand Crus is easily 150 Euros and much more. Wines for very special opportunities, like Bulgari for jewels.
