 Italy  has a wonderful variety of wines. But it can be a confusing task to select from 400 different grapes, thousands of wines and thousands of producers. We have detailed knowledge about Italian wine regions and varieties.

We have very clear principles in the selection of our wines. We only select genuine products from a specified area, only original products, bottled by the producers. We go for small and medium-sized producers, who fine-tune their wines to achieve quality. We establish personal contact with producers. We visit the wineries and we need to be convinced about the quality of their work.

We believe in a  healthy ratio between price and quality. A bottle of wine might cost 80 RMB or 800 RMB, but the price needs to reflect the quality of the wine.  We cannot find wines for you that sell for a shelf price of 50 RMB. There is no genuine wine that can be bought for less than 20 RMB from a producer. And we don't select wines at fantasy  prices. Those, who buy a bottle of wine that costs 4000 RMB pay the label, not the wine.

Professionell Wine Trips:  We organize professional Winetrips. We show you Vineyards and cellars to demonstrate quality of our wineries. You can communicate directly with the producers. Visiting the vineyards and cellars is reassuring for those concerned about quality. Direct communication between producer and importer improves the quality of collaboration. You select from our portfolio the wineries you want to see and we organize the trip.

You only have to arrive at Rome or  Milan airport. We take care of everything else. Just have a look at a typical wine trip.

CoImport: Importing of wine is a scaling problem. It does not work out to send less than a pallet of a wine from Italy to China. But even professional wine sellers might want smaller quantities of a specific wine, that they cannot find with importers or wholesalers.  Wine Song will organize your import. Promotion: We promote Italian wines and wineries in China. We understand the online campaigning that is essential on the Chinese market. Wine Song has close contacts to important wine journalist and other opinion makers. Wine Song Ltd is a collaboration between  Johannes Keizer, Orvieto and Wang Chun, Wuhan.

 

Johannes Keizer lives for more than 30 years in Italy. In his former professional life as an employee of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN he worked and travelled extensively in China. He is in love with both  China and Italy. He believes that the common love of Chinese and Italian people for good food and wine should be the basis for a good business. His mission is to promote Italian wine, especially from small and medium producers from Umbria, in China  (and also elsewhere).

 

Wang Chun (Nixey), is a Chinese Wine Journalist and Professional. Some time ago she decided not to write only about Wine, but to bring better wines to Chinese people. She is CEO of Wine Song LTD, a Chinese Life Style Company, based in Wuhan.

The base wine is Verdicchio and it is produced with the classical Charmat method.

Very balanced foam, playful in the persistance of the perlage,  wisely  acidic and fresh. Very nicely drinkable, because of its fragrance and mellowness.  

The Belisario  winery is in the Province of Marche in the little town of Matelica.  Belisario was founded in  1971.
Today it is an agricultural company of 300 ha (600 acres) vine grown and a wine cellar with a capacity of  30,000 hl. It is the biggest Verdicchio of Matelica DOC wine producer.
 
The top news is that two of our wines (the very precise 2012 vintage) ,  Il Verdicchio "Terre di Valbona" and the Verdicchio " Vigneti del Cerro"   got a Silvermedal   at the latest  International  Wine  Challenge (http://www.internationalwinechallenge.com/canopy/search_results.php?wpcat=WineTab.S&Challenge_Year=2014&Medal=&Vintage=&Style=&PrimGrpq=&Country=93&Region=209&Prodq=&WinNamq=).   VIgneti  del Cerro   2009  got already a bronze medal  from the International  Wine Challenge . 
 
Belisario n wines are constantly premiated by the Gambero Rosso  ( http://www.gamberorosso.it ). The Gambero Rosso is one of the most authoritative  Associations that judges wine,   it gives from  1 to 3 "bicchieri" this means glasses. Already getting  "1 bicchiere"  is a very high appreciation.  "3 bichieri"  are only for a few 100 of top wines of Italy".
The top Crus Verdicchio wines  "Cambrugiano" and "Meridia"  got  "3 bicchieri" in  2006, 2010 and 2013.  Vigneti B, Vigneti del Cerro and Terre di Valbona were prized with "2 bicchieri"  in 2006 and got in  2012 the prize for the best quality/price ratio.   Il Cuvee Nadir won the price "Bollicine da Oscar" in 2010.
 
"Vigneti del Cerro" and "San Lepoardo" won prizes in the 2012 Slow Wine guide  (http://www.slowfood.it/slowine/). Slow wine is  the guide of the slow food movement, which is worldwide known to promote good food and wine.

Scacciadiavoli Rosé is made from 100% Sagrantino grapes, hand picked and gently pressed within six hours.

Wine made from grapes predominantly Sangiovese. Deep red color, perfume of ripe fruit. Aging in steel tanks end some months in bottle. The wine is ready to drink soon. Fresh and fruity than the total raw material, this wine is not aged in wood

A crus wine! Selected grapes from non irrigated vineyards in Oliena. At least 2 years aged of which one in oak and another in the bottle.

 

Can age for years in the bottle.  Production only 15,000.

 

A dry red wine with a great structure from Cannonau grapes grown in the village of Oliena on sunny hills without any irrigation.

Can age still 2 or 3 years after bottling.

A wonderful intense red wine from an Italian clone of the famous Grenache grape,  Delicate and Complex with rich notes of wild berries, forest fruits and subtle herbal tones. The taste is dry and elegant with notes of red fruit and delicate spices. Intense ruby red

 Produced on volcanic soil, vineyards on an average of 200 m above sea level with  nice environment and landscape,the  company now is converting to organic production.

Imagine a green field opening on a soft hill that overlooks Frascati’s DOCG vineyards, the olive grove hillside of the Castelli Romani and the ancient Regillo Lake, a landscape of agricultural calling just a few kilometers away from the capital. The Fusco family opens their door to welcome all nature and oenology lovers who wish to taste and appreciate the fruits of the land and of the precious work of men and women who, for years now, have been collaborating with the farm’s activities.

The Wine Resort offers a cozy and fascinating stay based on the culture of fine wining and dining. It includes the ancient restructured farmhouse and the cellar, built inside a hill, with the halls for the grape making and the wine bedding and the rooms for event organizations. Here, the local tradition of vineyard and olive grove cultivation and biological farming has been safeguarded and integrated by technological innovation, the use of renewable energies and precision farming that allow to optimize the agricultural processes.

MontefalcoRosso  boasts an intense red ruby color, an expansive, elegant bouquet with scents of cherry, and a soft and voluptuous taste.

La cantina sociale di Oliena is situated in the heart of the Nuoro province and produces some of the finest Sardegnan Cannonau Wines. (Cannonau is part of the Grenache Family)

 

The cooperative has more than 100 members, who deliver their grapes, which are treated with modernst technogy without giving up traditional methods.

HISTORY

The family of the Rottensteiner’s is one of the most ancient families of South Tyrol and its connections to the wine lasts for many generations. This shows also the family name, which derives from the red coloured rock of the montains around Bolzano, the porphyry.

The closer history of the Cantina Vini Hans Rottensteiner S.r.l. began between the two World Wars, when Hans Rottensteiner, a son of the farmer of “Obermoser-Hof” in St. Magdalena, married a daughter of the owner of the “Gogischer-Hof” named Magdalena. Along to the traditional rules in leaving the farms to the descendants, both “Obermoser-Hof” and “Gogischer-Hof” passed to the first born sons, and the young couple Hans and Magdalena was forced to leave the paternal yard. So they bought the “Reiter-Hof” in St. Peter, the neighbour village of St. Magdalena, and began with the vine growing. Soon Hans made his first experiences in the wine production with his own grapes, sold at the own restaurant. World War II began, and Hans had the luck not to have to engage, but to carry out his military service at the “Südtiroler Ordnungsdienst”, a kind of military police. So he hadn’t to leave his farm and could continue to work in his restaurant. Later he would tell proudly, that his wine wasn’t popular only among the people of the place, but also among the American soldiers who came in at the end of the war.

Around 1950 Hans dared the large step and bought a property in the close Gries, on the other bank of Talfer River, and began with the building of a winery. In 1956 finally came the great moment, and the winery Cantina Vini Hans Rottensteiner S.r.l. began its activity. Hans left his farm in St. Peter to his first born son Johann and dedicated himself, together with his other son, Toni Rottensteiner, to the winery. Toni, who had studied Viticulture and Oenology in Wädenswil near Zurich in Switzerland, managed the technical part of the activity since the beginning, while the commercial part passed to him step by step.

Soon after the foundation of the company, the Rottensteiner’s met a man who should have a strong influence on the winery: Georg Vogel, a Swiss importer of South Tyrolean and Trentino wines, who would buy the whole production of the young winery. Hans and Tony were careful enough not to leave the domestic market at all, although this Switzerland became the most important market of Rottensteiner wines. The demand was very high, the profit because of the strong Swiss Franc too, and so after a short time the extension of the cellars was begun, as well as the purchase of grapes from winegrowers in and around Bolzano. Gradually Cantina Vini Hans Rottensteiner became one of the important companies in the world of South Tyrolean wines. Also the own domain on vineyards was extended: the Hofmannhof was bought, as well as some other vineyards in and around Bolzano. In 1967 Toni married Rosa Pichler, the first born daughter of Kristplonerhof in Guncina near Bolzano. In this way also this farm came into family’s property.

At the beginning of the 1980’s – in the meantime Hans had transferred the whole conduction of the company to his son Toni Rottensteiner put the main importance of his activity to the production of high quality bottled wines, specially St. Magdalener, but also Lagrein, Pinot Blanc and most of the other South Tyrolean varieties. To make it short: he was successful also with this and reached the reasonable number of 400,000 bottles, which were sold not only in South Tyrol, but in whole Italy, in Germany, in Austria and of course in Switzerland. Hans Rottensteiner died in 2001, only some months after his grandchild and Toni’s son Hannes had entered into the company. So the winery went into its third generation. Hannes had studied Viticulture and Oenology in San Michele all’Adige and in Geisenheim (Germany).

Today the Rottensteiner’s work almost 10 hectares of vineyard, while around 60 farmers supply grapes from other 90 hectares. This happens along to old tradition “on honour”, this means that there are no written contracts and that there counts only word and handshake.

Certainly the own vineyards get most of our attention. Vernatsch (Schiava), a native grape variety of South Tyrol which gives many DOC like Kalterer See (Lago di Caldaro), St. Magdalener or Alto Adige Vernatsch, is still most important in the palette of the winery, but also other varieties like Lagrein, Müller Thurgau and Gewürztraminer are strong points of Cantina Vini Hans Rottensteiner Srl.

THE WINE

Wine enjoyment – this is Toni and Hannes' motto. Elegance and drinkability are at the forefront of our wines. Along with this, the typicity of the wine, the expression of the variety and terroir, is clear and recognizable. This is the reason why most of our wines are varietal and our focus is on those vines typical to our region.

The Classic Line demonstrates the variety of our assortment. Eight white wines, a rosé, and five red wines are available. Drinkability, elegance and the varietal typicity stand out in these wines. The Alpine ibex is our heraldic animal, and serves as the motif of the collection's label. The bright choice of colour and the light playfulness should convey the youthful freshness and fun that we hope for while drinking our wines.

The Cru Line is comprised of four choice wines from special locations. Freshness and fruitiness are also a decisive factor, supported on the one hand by the varietal selection, and on the other, through the processing in the wine cellar. We have chosen a vine shoot as the graphic element on the label. The reason for this is that, for these wines, the association to the origin, the soil, and the grapevine is especially important.

The Select Line wines are the heavyweights from our cellar. These wines are barrel-matured, albeit an exceptionally careful handling of new wood ensures that the wine, and not the barrel, remains in the forefront. The Select wines can be aged; their full potential can, by all means, be unveiled a few years later. The gold family crest on the label, and the muted colour selection, represent the value, elegance, and tradition of these wines.

 

Founded in 1884, Cantina Scacciadiavoli “cast out the devils” takes its named from a 19th century exorcist who lived in the small village bordering the vineyard. He was known to use the wines while performing his exorcist ritual of ridding poor souls of demons.Scacciadiavoli is the resulting dream of the Prince of Piombino, Ugo Boncompagni-Ludovisi. In 1884, the estate was built as a complex and modern wine “factory.” 

Today, the Pambuffetti family owns Scacciadiavoli. The estate is made up of 130 hectares, 35 of which make up the vineyards with an annual production of approximately 250,000 bottles. The vines cover a hill in the heart of the “Montefalco” appellation divided between the three provinces of Gualdo Cattaneo, Giano dell’Umbria and Montefalco.
 
The winery was built in the second half of the 19th century when Prince
Boncompagni-Ludovisi left Rome to dedicate himself to the art of wine production.

Amilcare Pambuffetti became the third owner of the estate when he bought Scacciadiavoli in 1954. While maintaining its original architectural and structural elements, the winery was renovated and modernized in the year 2000.
 
The winery is built into the hill consisting of four vertical levels allowing the use of gravity throughout the production. The grapes arrive from the vineyards directly at the fourth and highest level of the winery. They are then moved down to the third level where they are fermented and vinified in wood or stainless steel vats. The Montefalco Rosso DOC is brought down to the ground floor level where it is aged one year in tonneaux (500 liters) and small barrels (225 liters). The Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG and Passito DOCG is brought to the underground level where it is aged for two years in small barrels.
 
In 1954, Scacciadiavoli was aquired by the 71 year old Amilcare Pambuffetti. It was the very same estate where he worked 60 years prior. After Amilcare’s death in 1977, his children, Alfio, Settimio and Mario, took over the estate. In 2000, the responsibility was left to the grandchildren of Amilcare Pambuffetti; Francesco, Carlo and Amilcare. 

Now the oldest winery in the Montefalco appellation, Scacciadiavoli is currently run by Iacopo, Amilcare, Liu, Romeo and Fiammetta Pambuffetti. They are the fourth generation committing their time and energies to the great art of winemaking and to carrying on the name of the family estate.

Today the Cantina del Trasimeno is a cooperative society of 250 members on a surface area of approximately 300 hectares.
The choice of clones and rootstocks suitable quality to value in the cultivation, the use of strict agricultural techniques in the vineyard, the strong technological innovation in the winery and the technical contribution of serious and qualified professionals are the ingredients that make this Cooperative Winery one of the most interesting of the Trasimeno area and national wine scene.
The realization of the aging building in Città della Pieve, in the completely renovated historic cellars of the Town Hall, ends the project that is the basis of the "Duca della Corgna" wines.
The production is organized to control every stage of production cycle from the countryside to the cellar: from the production to the grapes harvesting, during the wine production, the wine aging in barrel or steel, bottling and aging in bottle.
Native grape varieties, like Gamay Perugino (or del Trasimeno) and Grechetto, receive special attention and care. The same for the classic Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in red wines and Trebbiano toscano among white grapes.

对意大利中、小酒庄来讲,出口葡萄酒是一件令人望而却步的事情。许多中、小型酒庄不能提供完备的意大利出口及中国进口所需的材料。我们的团队熟悉全套流程、能够高效协助酒庄准备及提交全部材料。无论使意大利出口酒庄,还是中国进口商,都不必再被原产地证明、成份分析、健康证等等纷繁的资料所困扰。我们组织物流,并提供出口、进口需要的全套资料. 

 Italy  has a wonderful variety of wines. But it can be a confusing task to select from 400 different grapes, thousands of wines and thousands of producers. We have detailed knowledge about Italian wine regions and varieties.

We have very clear principles in the selection of our wines. We only select genuine products from a specified area, only original products, bottled by the producers. We go for small and medium-sized producers, who fine-tune their wines to achieve quality. We establish personal contact with producers. We visit the wineries and we need to be convinced about the quality of their work.

We believe in a  healthy ratio between price and quality. A bottle of wine might cost 80 RMB or 800 RMB, but the price needs to reflect the quality of the wine.  We cannot find wines for you that sell for a shelf price of 50 RMB. There is no genuine wine that can be bought for less than 20 RMB from a producer. And we don't select wines at fantasy  prices. Those, who buy a bottle of wine that costs 4000 RMB pay the label, not the wine.

Professionell Wine Trips:  We organize professional Winetrips. We show you Vineyards and cellars to demonstrate quality of our wineries. You can communicate directly with the producers. Visiting the vineyards and cellars is reassuring for those concerned about quality. Direct communication between producer and importer improves the quality of collaboration. You select from our portfolio the wineries you want to see and we organize the trip.

You only have to arrive at Rome or  Milan airport. We take care of everything else. Just have a look at a typical wine trip.

CoImport: Importing of wine is a scaling problem. It does not work out to send less than a pallet of a wine from Italy to China. But even professional wine sellers might want smaller quantities of a specific wine, that they cannot find with importers or wholesalers.  Wine Song will organize your import. Wang Chun (Nixey), is a Chinese Wine Journalist and Professional. Some time ago she decided not to write only about Wine, but to bring better wines to Chinese people. She is CEO of Wine Song LTD, a Chinese Life Style Company, based in Wuhan.
